Using Your Intentions to Create Results & Maximize Impact

Today we’re talking about intentions, and how to use your intentions as a tool to create the life & impact you’d love to create. Often times, it’s the smallest shifts that can really take our efforts to the next level, and using intention-setting & intention-shifting is an amazing example of this. This can seem like a New Age-y sort of concept, which who knows, maybe you’re a fan of & maybe you’re not. And I still encourage you to give this a try & see for yourself what the impact could be for you. You can consciously choose to create the life you want in a way that feels amazing for you through the very simple practices of intention setting & intention shifting. In this video, I walk you through how to do it.

Quiet Time: Finding Silence in a Busy World

Silence is golden.

Unfortunately, with busy streets, busy schedules, & even busier minds, silence is also a rare commodity these days.

We’re surrounded by noise from automobiles & other people & screaming children. We hear the squeals of public transportation and buzzing from crowds, classrooms, conferences, concerts & cities all around us. Even when the noise quiets, it’s normal to be stuck on overdrive with a mind that races and expands to fill the empty space. It’s becoming harder & harder to shut off.

Finding silence today is not easy. It takes intention & persistence. Still, making an effort to find silence is important, and it’s worth it.

Sitting in silence for awhile is like pushing a reset button on our brains. Silence can help us find more clarity, & greater connection to ourselves & others & the world around us. It helps us spark creativity, & it even regenerates our brain cells.

When we carve out quiet time for ourselves, we tune into our senses & calm our bodies. We feel safer, centered, & grounded. We can sort out the clutter that keeps us scattered. When we’re comfortable with silence in each passing moment, we can become a grounding force for everyone around us, to truly impact our world & everyone in it.

Valuable silence gives us the spaciousness we desire. When we swim in silence often enough, we learn we’re already whole, & we already have access to everything we need. Silence helps us slow time & get more out of our every effort. Silence makes room for the reflection & insight we need to move forward effectively & consistently towards our goals.

Are you ready to make silence a priority in your life? Here are a few steps to get started:

Calm your mind. Quiet the noise between your ears first. If your mind moves very fast, short guided meditations might be a great place for you to start. You can work up to 5 minutes of silent time, slowly making silence a habit & scheduling it into your day. Get comfortable having solo conversations with yourself, & get curious about the thoughts & feelings that come up during silence. Everything is normal.

Unplug. Turn off your phone & other technology. Seek out nature. Nature might not be 100% silent, but it’s a lot quieter than a busy street or a crowded workplace, & gorgeous natural scenery can compliment quiet time beautifully. Go for a walk in a quiet area & opt for silence over headphones. Focus on your body & your breath while you try to keep your thoughts slow & to a minimum. Afterwards, notice how much fuller you feel.

Get support. Let your people know what you’re up to, & ask clearly for you need to make your silent time possible. Make a sign to hang on your door when you don’t want to be interrupted. Invest in noise blocking headsets, silent retreats, & outside accountability as you make this the new normal. Make silence a family event, knowing that growing the habit of silence with your loved ones is providing them with a tool for success & happiness that they can use for life.

You may want a pen & paper to record insights you receive during your silent time. Don’t re-join the noise until you feel refreshed & inspired to act. Congratulations on prioritizing silence for yourself moving forward – you definitely deserve it.

Beliefs & How to Change Them

A *huge* part of the results-getting process I use with my clients is evaluating their beliefs & up-leveling them to new, more empowering beliefs. So… What do you believe about yourself? About the world? About other people? About the way things work & what’s possible for you? Beliefs are a big piece of your “mindset” and they impact how you show up in the world. If you’re having trouble achieving something in your life, there’s a really good chance that taking a look at your subconscious beliefs can help you create some movement again. So today, we’re musing about beliefs. Why it matters, what they are, how they form, how to spot them, & how to change them so you can use them to your advantage. Leave a comment & let me know what you think!

Components of Mental Wholeness: Creative Expression

We’ve finally arrived at the 6th component of Mental Wholeness!! Welcome to the grand finale of this 6-part series, where I’ve helped you find a little taste of the biggest outcome my clients achieve through working with me. Today, we’re talking about creative expression – the act of confidently expressing yourself authentically, through contributing your unique talents and perspectives to the world. This component is basically the whole point! Becoming the fullest version of yourself, expressing yourself from that place, and impacting the world with your message and your creations. You can creatively express by choreographing a dance, painting a picture, or by dreaming about & creating a boatload of money in your bank account. We’re all creators here. Today’s video shares the benefits of creative expression, some common barriers to expressing, and inspiration to move you forward towards full expression today.

Components of Mental Wholeness: Emotional Alchemy

Today’s component of Mental Wholeness is Emotional Alchemy. We’re digging into the topic of using our emotional experience to our benefit, and how to digest emotions in a way that leads you towards success and wholeness in your life. Unfortunately, as I briefly mentioned last week, unprocessed emotions that are stored deep within us cause all kinds of problems both vibrationally – they impact who we’re BE-ing – and they can even cause us physical discomfort & illness. On the flip side – when we learn how to alchemize our emotions, we turn them into gold. Our emotions can become compelling helpers as we communicate with other people, as we share what we’re feeling with calm and clarity. More importantly – we feel mentally whole when we’re able to tolerate every single part of our life experience, including every single shade of emotion that it brings. This component of mental wholeness, emotional alchemy, is absolutely essential. I’ll be back next week with the final installment in this series! Leave a comment below & let me know what you think, and make sure to subscribe to stay in the loop.

Components of Mental Wholeness: Vibrational Awareness

Part 4 of 6! Today’s component of Mental Wholeness is Vibrational Awareness. We’re digging into the topic of energy, and why our energetic vibration matters when it comes to the results we see in our life & feeling mentally whole.

Now, I’m not talking about energy as like your electric provider or propane tanks. (Although, in my mind, it is kind of related). We’re talking about us, humans, as energetic, vibrational beings. Vibrational awareness is key to feeling mentally whole in a consistent way. This knowledge helps you take all parts of yourself & your behaviors into account, and it can be very empowering to realize you can adjust the way you feel at any given moment. This knowledge is super helpful during hard times – so you can maintain mental wholeness & enjoy life even when challenging times arise.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

***Note: After filming this video, I found the Einstein quote I shared might be a common misquote. Einstein may not have said, “Everything in life is vibration”.

Here’s another lovely quote of his I’ve found: “All great achievements of science must start from intuitive knowledge. I believe in intuition and inspiration…. At times I feel certain I am right while not knowing the reason.”

Stress-Free Detox: Cut Down on Chemicals without Losing Your Mind

Have you ever tried to detox your body?

If you’ve attempted removing even ONE chemical from your life – from your food, your cleaning supplies, or a daily habit like nicotine, alcohol, sugar, or caffeine – you know that cutting down on chemical consumption is way easier said than done.

It’s a growing trend to minimize our exposure to chemicals, for benefits such as weight loss, more energy, mental clarity, or better skin. Minimizing our chemical consumption is often an important part of providing for our body. Loving our body helps us feel mentally whole, which impacts every area of our lives.

Still, the process is often filled with maddening obstacles. Temptation & exposure to chemicals is everywhere we look. Attempts to cut back are often full of mood swings, feeling drained, & terrible headaches… not to mention endless trial & error with new products that aren’t always worth their salt. Not to mention the time & learning it takes to prepare chemical-free food… it’s all enough stress to make anyone lose their cool.

There has to be a better way! Cutting out chemicals is supposed to feel good, right? We’re looking to gain clarity here, not lose our minds. Try these three steps to get you through:

Don’t judge. Go easy on yourself & keep it simple. Tell yourself that your efforts are good enough. Allow yourself to do what feels good for you, and accept every part of your personality that comes up along the way. Judging yourself harshly regarding your progress will only push you back into the arms of the chemicals you’re trying to avoid. When the pressure comes off, it can be much easier for the habit to fade out naturally.

Substitute. Figure out what need that chemical has been filling for you, and brainstorm some other ways to fill the need when it hits. Write your ideas down on paper & consider this your go-to action plan when cravings or urges hit. Are you looking for energy? Try drinking some water or going for a walk. Are you looking for sweetness or connection? Seek out a hug, or give a compliment to someone you love. Drink teas, find something to fidget with, take a bath. Try making your own bathing & cleaning products. Find alternatives that really work for you.

Get support. This is truly the biggest key to lasting success. Surround yourself with people who support you, & support yourself by avoiding tempting situations at first. Get a therapist or coach to talk to. Surround yourself with people making similar changes in their life. Find books that share stories & advice from people who have successfully done what you’re attempting. Learn how to ask for what you want from others. Connecting with other people for support is one of the strongest things you can do, and when mentally whole people come together for a purpose, amazing things are possible.

Above all else, make these changes for yourself – because you want to. Focus on the outcomes you’re trying to achieve. And – always know you’re good enough & you deserve love, right now, regardless of what chemicals you choose to consume.

Components of Mental Wholeness: Clarity

This is the third installment of 6 where we’ll be walking through individual components of Mental Wholeness – a feeling of being complete & good enough as exactly who you are regardless of what’s going on in your life. This week we’re talking about clarity – the extent to which you feel clear about your life and where you’re heading. It’s easy in our society to put true clarity for ourselves on the back-burner. We’re so swept up in routines, in our shoulds, in existing responsibilities & obligations, looking at our growing to-do lists… then all of a sudden we come up for air & realize we lost ourselves somewhere along the way. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not ALWAYS going to feel 100% clarity. Life feels really uncertain sometimes. And, learning how to recognize when we’re feeling unclear & re-connect to our clarity when we need to is a huge part of feeling mentally whole in a consistent way. I end the video with an exercise you can use to gain more clarity immediately. I will be back next week for more on the next component of Mental Wholeness: Vibrational Awareness. Thanks for watching!! Make sure to subscribe/follow/connect if you’d like to stay in the loop.

Components of Mental Wholeness: Body Love

This is the 2nd part of a 6 part series, during which I’ll be describing 6 components of Mental Wholeness – the sensation of being complete as a person no matter what life is throwing at you. All too often in our society, we’re escaping our bodies rather than connecting with them, & we’d be very well served to turn this around! When you’re denying your body the love & care it needs to thrive, you’re putting a cap on the vibrant experience that’s available to you & the things you’ll be able to achieve during your time here on Earth. A loving relationship with your body supports consistency, creativity, confidence, connection, and cash flow. When you love your body & provide it with everything it needs, it can be your best resource on your path to success. Loving your body will positively impact every area of your life. So, this week, I encourage you to let go of shaming & blaming your body, so you can feel comfortable in your skin and feel more whole as a person. I’ll see you back here next week for the next step on your path towards Mental Wholeness. Make sure to subscribe if you’d like to stay in the loop. Enjoy!

Components of Mental Wholeness: Acceptance

For the next six weeks, these Tuesday Musings videos will walk you through six components of Mental Wholeness – starting with acceptance. Mental Wholeness is a state of be-ing that helps you feel consistently valuable & supported for exactly who you are, while you positively impact every part of your world, just by being in it. A realistic & thorough understanding of your current situation is an essential first step to creating what you’d like for yourself, and that’s where acceptance comes in. We need to accept ourselves, life’s highs & lows, & the full spectrum of human emotions, to begin building a solid foundation of mental wholeness for ourselves, using the unpleasant parts of our experience to clarify our desires, strengths, & values. Accepting the full truth about ourselves, others, & our situations – while fully honoring how we feel AND looking for the silver linings – is the first step on our 6-week journey! Please leave a comment with thoughts & questions, & make sure you subscribe/follow to see all 6 components. 🙂 Thanks for watching!
